In the framework of the “Public Administration Week”, a honorary doctor of National University of Mongolia (NUM) Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. John Duffy of University of Alaska, Anchorage (UAA), USA gave a lecture to the public administration students with the title of “Public administration and the wicked problems”. Since 2017, Prof. Duffy has been working at the Public Administration Program, NUM as a guest professor in a broad way.
His lecture was given to the students at their request. He described the importance of public administration and its influence on human-life. Furthermore, he explained that public administration is always trying to tackle complex and wicked problems in the society. More specifically he emphasized the nature of wicked problems, system perspectives, and several practical cases. Public administration students were very much interested in those theoretical aspects and practical cases by asking many questions.
We wish Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. John Duffy all the best. We are looking forward to having you again for another lecture.
