Inauguration ceremony – International Journal of Public Administration and Consulting /IJPAC/

The National University of Mongolia (NUM) and Hansung University of South Korea proudly announce the launch of the academic journal, International Journal of Public Administration and Consulting /ISSN 2586-355X/. The journal is a result of the two-year project, Capacity Building for the Public Administration Department of NUM 2015-2017, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

One of the project’s goals was to establish a peer-reviewed, international public administration journal. Prof. Dr. Burmaa, Director of the Department of Public Administration, stated “This academic journal represents an important step in the ongoing development of NUM’s Department of Public Administration. We now have an international journal based in Mongolia that will provide a forum for scholars and practitioners to share important work in the field of public administration on the international stage. We are very proud to have launched the journal and excited about its future prospects.”

The journal is the first English language public administration journal its kind in Mongolia. The journal creates a new platform for the public administration community where knowledge can be shared by both national and international scholars as well as practitioners.

The first issue of the journal published December 2017. The journal’s official inauguration ceremony was held Friday March 23, 2018 in room 303 of School of International Relations and Public Administration (SIRPA). In attendance were several of the editorial board members including John Duffy (University of Alaska, Anchorage), Cheon Geun Choi (Hansung University) via Skype, Stefan Hanselmann (National University of Mongolia), Burmaa Natsag (National University of Mongolia), Tseren Ganbaatar (National University of Mongolia), Batbold Tserendash (National University of Mongolia), department colleagues and other invited guests took part of the ceremony. The second issue of International Journal of Public Administration and Consulting /IJPAC/ will be published in June this year.

The School of International Relations and Public Administration is Mongolia’s lead institution working to enhance Mongolia. We work locally, regionally, nationally and internationally to find the best ideas for Mongolia, put the ideas into practice and share our ideas with the international community.
