Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (State Library at Berlin) invites international researchers to apply for a research grant in 2021 within the framework of the Grant Programme of the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation). The scholarships are available for research in Berlin with the extensive collections of Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, such as the holdings of the East Asia Department and CrossAsia, as well as those of other Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz institutions.
With its unique collections, the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (State Library at Berlin) is a research library of international ranking, which offers excellent working conditions to scholars especially in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, in Law and in the History of Science.
The holdings of printed items alone comprise more than ten million volumes of historical and modern literature, with an additional substantial offer of electronic resources.
The application deadline: by 30th September, as every year.
Period and Amounts of the Grants:
- 1-3 months
- with a bachelor’s or master’s degree receive 900 euros a month
- with a PhD or comparable qualification receive 1,200 euros a month
- one-time travel grant of 500 euros
