Memorandum of Understanding and Student, staff exchange agreement were signed with Kyushu Institute of Technology

Within the framework of the goal of “cooperating actively with the global leading universities” included in the strategic plan of the National University of Mongolia, NUM has concluded Memorandum of Understanding and Student, staff exchange agreement with Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan.

Founded in 1907, Kyushu Institute of Technology (九州 工業 大学, https://www.kyutech.ac.jp/) offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs in natural sciences, engineering, technology and applied sciences. Kyutech is one of leading higher education institutions in the field of engineering and technology in Japan, and ranked to 801-1000th by the QS 2022 world university ranking. The Kyutech has 5 schools and 17 research institutes located in Fukuoka Prefecture, southern Japan.

NUM has been actively cooperating with the Kyutech in the field of natural sciences and engineering, and in 2015-2019 implemented the Mazaalai satellite project. In the framework of the “1000 Engineers” program, a joint project of Power Electronics Research and of Space Engineering and Applications were implemented. Also, several non-degree courses in engineering and space technology were co-organized with Kyutech.

Within the framework of the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding and Student, staff exchange agreement; NUM agreed to organize joint research, training, conferences and seminars; to participate in them; to exchange lecturers, researchers, students and research data; to implement a joint program and exchange up to 5 students a year with Kyutech.
