The National University of Mongolia, the first higher education institution in Mongolia, celebrated the 80th anniversary of the establishment. Administrators and representatives of cooperating international research and educational institutions arrived to participate in the anniversary on October 4-7, 2022 in Ulaanbaatar.
Among over 460 educational, scientific and industrial institutions from 44 countries that NUM cooperates with, the leaderships and representatives of 23 universities, scientific academies, and over 60 distinguished guests arrived to honor the 80th anniversary of NUM.
At the 80th anniversary conference, on behalf of the international partners, Academician Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichiy, Honorary Doctor of NUM, Rector of Moscow State University, the first international partner university of NUM, sent a video greeting for the anniversary. Furthermore, Se-Jung OH, the President of Seoul National University, gave a speech congratulating all the academic community of NUM and guests and wished them success in their work.
In his speech during the anniversary conference, the President of NUM В.Ochirkhuyag emphasized the importance of foreign cooperation in 80 years of training and research development of NUM and expressed deep gratitude to all the Cooperating institutions.
During this time, representatives of international cooperating institutions held a cooperation meeting with B.Ochirkhuyag, President of NUM, and academic departments, units, and signed memorandum of understanding on cooperation and student exchange agreements.
Moreover, all the international guests participated in the anniversary conference, commemorative activities of NUM took part in a wide-range program to familiarize the history, traditions, and cultural heritage of Mongolia. Also, numerous meetings, interviews, and events that discussed further development of cooperation were held.
