Far Eastern Federal University’s administration visited NUM

In the 80th anniversary celebration of the National University of Mongolia, the representatives led by Nikita Smirnov, Deputy Vice President for International Relations of the Far Eastern Federal University located in Vladivostok, Russia, were invited to participate.

On October 4, 2022, NUM leaderships, B.Ochirhuyag, President of NUM, J.Battogtoh, Dean of School of International Relations and Public Administration, O.Munkhbat, Dean of Ulaanbaatar School, D.Badamdash, Head of the Department of Cooperation, welcomed to meet  Nikita Smirnov, Deputy Vice-President for Foreign Relations of the Far Eastern Federal University to exchanged proposal on further cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to establish an official cooperation MOU between the two universities, and to strengthen teaching and research cooperation between the professors and researchers.

The Far Eastern Federal University is one of the top universities in Russia, which ranks 493rd in the QS World Universities Ranking 2023, and 17th in Russia, engaged in teaching and research in all fields such as natural and social sciences, humanities, engineering, and medicine, where they offer these courses in both Russian and English. Also, the university have international branch offices in China, Vietnam, Japan and India.

In 2019, scientists and researchers of FEFU participated in the international academic conference of “Social work-social and cultural multifaceted relation” organized jointly with NUM and the University of Utah, USA. And the “Student Round Table Meeting” club, which operates in universities in 5 countries of Northeast Asia, was established beside the School of International Relations and Public Administration in 2011. Through the club’s annual meetings and other activities, not only the students from two universities, as well as three other universities’ students, work together on environmental, social, and economic issues in the Northeast Asian region.
