Representatives of Osaka University visited NUM

Representatives led by Komizo Yuichi, Director of East Asian Center for Academic Initiatives, Center for Global Initiatives, one of Japan’s top universities, participated in the 80th anniversary celebration of the National University of Mongolia.

On October 5, 2022, the representatives of Osaka University met and exchanged ideas on cooperation with B.Ochirkhuyag, President of NUM, and D.Badamdash, Head of the Department of Cooperation. During the meeting, B.Ochirhuyag, the President of NUM, expressed his interest to search for and develop new cooperation opportunities with the  Osaka University in addition to Mongolian language and humanities.

Komizo Yu-ichi, Director of East Asian Center for Academic Initiatives, Center for Global Initiatives, expressed his support and gratitude for the cooperation and invitation to the 80th-anniversary celebration of the University of Mongolia.

In 2000, NUM first signed cooperation and student exchange agreement with Osaka University, one of the best universities in the world, ranked 68th in the world. In 2021, the cooperation agreement was renewed and expanded to the possibility of exchanging up to 5 students per academic year. Within the framework of the agreement, the student exchange program between the universities has been successfully implementing.

On October 7, 2022, for lecturers and students of NUM, representatives of Osaka University co-organized with NUM, a presentation “Let’s study at Osaka University” at NUM Library.
