SCO international forum “Current Issues and Future Perspective of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”

The School of International Relations and Public Administration, National University of Mongolia, jointly with the Secretariat of the SCO and Mongolian Association of International Studies successfully held international forum titled “Current Issues and Future Perspective of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization” on 11th of April 2023

At the beginning of the forum prof. Bayartogtokh.B, Vice President for Research of National University of Mongolia, H.E.Mr. Zhang Ming, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and amb. Batbayar.Ts, Mongolian Association of International Studies NGO, made opening speeches.

Panelists on policy and foreign relations have discussed presentations of Bayasakh.J, Prof. Mongolian Academy of Sciences “Mongolia’s facing dilemma”, Dr. Deng Hao, Secretary General of China Center for SCO studies “Future development of SCO in period of big changes”, and Khoshimova Shakhodat, Information and Analytical Center for International Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan “Cultural Communications in SCO”.

Second panelists on economic issues have discussed presentations of Mr.Enkhbayar.N, Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia “The Changing World and World fragmentation”, and Dr. Athar Zafar, SCO Study Centre, Indian Council of World Affairs “Economic cooperation, connectivity”

The third panelists on security have discussed presentations of Prof. Battogtokh.J, Dean of the School of International Relations and Public Administration, National University of Mongolia “Analytical record on SCO’s fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism”, and Hidoyatzoda Komroni Jamolidin, Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan “The Role and Contribution of Tajikistan in ensuring regional security in the SCO area of responsibility”

At the international forum participated representatives from the Institute of International studies, Mongolian Academy of Sciences; the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia; the Institute of Security Studies; Secretariat of the SCO; officials from Embassies of Russian Federation, People’s Republic of China, India, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Republic of Belarus.
