Established in 1942, NUM is Mongolia’s oldest and most prestigious university. It offers diverse academic programs and is dedicated to research excellence and fostering academic integrity.

In a momentous stride towards enhancing research integrity and promoting ethical standards, the School of Arts and Sciences at the National University of Mongolia (NUM) proudly announces establishment of its Institutional Review Board (IRB) in January 2023. The IRB’s inception marks a turning point in the university’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of research participants and researchers alike in Mongolia.

The IRB committee has granted four approvals of ethical conduct, including a master’s thesis and international projects involving our faculty members in the spring semester of 2023.

The IRB will independently review proposed research studies to ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, legal regulations, and international standards. The board committee is now accepting applications from researchers and scholars abroad.
