The Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Sun Yat-sen University offers a great opportunity for students to study master program with scholarship. The University is located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a metropolitan area with a population of more than 2.7 millions, and is one of the top research-intensive universities in Taiwan. The International Master’s Program in Electric Power Engineering (IMEPE) offers two types of scholarships, one by the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF) to students coming from countries that have diplomatic ties with Taiwan and the other by the University.
The main goal of the IMEPE is to attract competitive international students to learn to develop advanced electric power engineering capacities.
- Curriculums and Courses
Curriculums are tailored for international students. All courses are lectured in English. Students will be able to study the professional contents related to Electric Power Engineering (power system, electric machines, power electronics, networks and controls) as well as learn the Chinese cultures.
- Application Criteria
- Applicants should hold a Bachelor degree.
- TOEFL (or equivalent) score is required for applicants whose native languages are not English. Minimum English proficiency for non-native English speaking applicants:
TOEFL score iBT-TOEFL of 61 / CBT-TOEFL of 173/ Paper-based TOEFL of 500 / IELTS of 5.0.
