The National University of Mongolia recently presented its strategy plan from 2016-2024 and declared the importance of collaborative and innovative research that facilitates the production of socially relevant solutions and knowledge sharing. Public Administration Department of the School of International Relations and Public Administration (SIRFA) of the National University of Mongolia (NUM) has initiated the project called “Social Economy Market” in cooperation with Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung (KAS). Therefore, undergraduate students had a chance to participate in the research project for the first time. Five undergraduate students, majoring in Public Administration, became members of “Social Economy Market” research project.
The opening ceremony of “Social Economy Market” project was held at the SIRPA at 10:00am on March 2, 2016. Prof. Dr. Burmaa N, Head of the Public Administration Department, Enkhbayar G, Head of School office, Ganzaya S, Project manager of KAS, Bierlien S, a member of the project, lecturers and students from the SIRPA attended at this ceremony. The project was formally inaugurated by the Head of the project, Prof.Dr.Burmaa N, who emphasized the importance of undergraduate students’ involvement in this research project. She expressed her gratitude to the Project manager of KAS Ganzaya S and invited her to make a brief introduction about KAS to the attendees of the ceremony. Enkhbayar G, Head of School office who congratulated the members of the project, followed the talk. Afterwards, Bierlien S, a member of the project, gave an introductory lecture about the concept of “Social Economy Market” to the members of the project. The other project members consisted of professors, lecturers, and assistant students of Public Administration department of SIRPA , Business school, and the School of Arts and Sciences of NUM.
