National University of Mongolia’s 10 students, of School Engineering and Applied Science and School of Arts and Sciences, participated in Sakura exchange program from the 21st to 30th of August 2018, funded by Japan Science and Technology Agency. Professor O.Bolormaa from National University of Mongolia and Professor Shiomori from University of Miyazaki organized successfully this program four times. Students who partaken in the program introduced about the impressions on 20th of September at NUM.
The program titled “New Technology on Water Treatment and Water Environment Preservation” included special lectures, Japanese culture experience and visitation to museums and facilities such as Fukuoka Science Museum, Omuta coal industry and science museum, Miyazaki sewage treatment plant and Center for environmental measurement and analysis. Also, three students made presentation in 7th Joint Student Conference of University of Miyazaki and National University of Mongolia.
Participants made presentation to showcase their impression of Japanese culture, nature and science field. From the introductions and pictures, it can be seen that students were fully satisfied and inspired from the Japanese culture and rapid technological innovation-taking place to become efficient scientists in their appropriate fields.
Students answered questions about the Sakura exchange program and how to apply in it during the event. They mentioned that it is open for all students who are researching in environmental fields.
They also expressed their gratitude for Professor Bolormaa and Professor Shiomori for cooperating once again to organize this exchange program.
