The National University of Mongolia celebrates a remarkable milestone- The 80th year as the first institution of higher education in Mongolia. As a part of 80th anniversary of National University of Mongolia in 2022, it held anniversary celebration conference on 5 October 2022 in Parliament House of Mongolia.
The 80th-anniversary celebration conference of NUM officially started with an opening speech by the Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, G. Zandanshatar, and continued with a greeting from Minister of Education and Science L. Enkh-Amgalan.
Ch. Lodoiravsal, Advisor to the President of Mongolia on Education, Science, and Technology, read the greetings delivered by the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, at the conference. And Mongolian Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene’s message was read by Ya. Tumurbaatar, adviser of the Mongolian Prime Minister.
At the celebration conference, the President of NUM, Dr. B. Ochirkhuyag, presented “NUM- Present and Future” main presentation to show the level they’re working to achieve to the representatives of the government, academic staffs, students and alumni, and more than 60 international partners.

Academician Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichiy, Honorary Doctor of NUM, Rector of Moscow State University, the first foreign partner of NUM, sent a video greeting for the celebration. Furthermore, Se-Jung OH, the President of Seoul National University, gave a speech greeting all the guests and academic community of NUM.
Honorary Doctor of Mongolia, former rector of NUM from 1989-1996, professor Dr. D. Dorj, greeted on behalf of senior Academics. On behalf of the students, the Head of the Student Union and Student Congress of NUM, A.Oyun-Erdene, gave a speech.
