INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND OPEN GOVERNMENT”

The collaboration between National University of Mongolia and Hansung University is supported by Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) with the aim of expanding the capacity of Public Administration Department, SIRPA, NUM. Within the framework, the international conference under certain topic is hosted jointly each year. Last year the conference “International Challenges: Government Initiative” was held on October 21st, 2016 at the Mongolian Japan Center. This year “Sustainable Development and Open Government” conference was successfully held on August 23rd, 2017 at NUM Building 5.

The international conference was attended by H. E. Mr. Oh Song, Ambassador of Republic of Korea in Mongolia, Representatives of KOICA Office in Mongolia, and Civil Service Counsel of Mongolia.

The honored speakers were Prof. Dr. LEE Seong-uh, Prof. Dr. CHOI Cheon-geun, Prof. Dr.CHO Mun-seok and Dr. KIM Seon-heui from Public Administration Department of Hansung University; Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c.  Stefan Hanselmann, Head of Program GIZ Integrated Mineral Resource Initiative, Germany; Prof. Dr. Olga Kotomanova and Prof. Dr. Damdin Badaraev  from the Buryat State University, Russian Federation; Mrs. Ilaria Dali, Deputy Director of Cooperation, Swiss Cooperation Office of Switzerland;  Prof. Dr. Munkhbat Orolmaa, Sociology Department, NUM; Mongolia. and Prof. Dr. Burmaa Natsag, Public Administration Department, SIRPA, NUM

The participants for this event were the scholars and professors of National University of Mongolia, Law Enforcement University, Mongolian National Defense University, University of Science and Technology and guests from government agencies, organizations and academies. The “Sustainable Development and Open Government” international Conference topic itself is a current, relevant among international scholars. That is why the conference outcome was fruitful among conference participants and our invited speakers.
