Guest Prof. Dr. ANDREAS KNORR has been working at the School of International Relations and Public Administration from September 15th, 2017 and giving seminars on the international accreditation of curriculums for the professors and lecturers of SIRPA, NUM.
Prof.Dr.Knorr holds the chair of economic policy at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer and has been cooperating with the Public Administration Department of SIRPA, NUM since the beginning of the department. This is the fourth academic visit of Prof.Dr.Knorr at the NUM; the former visits were:
- In October 2012, Speaker of the International Conference, NUM
- In May 2016, seminar on the international accreditation of the SIRPA curriculums
- In September 2016, seminar on the international accreditation of the SIRPA curriculums
During his visits, Prof.Dr.Knorr works closely with the lecturers of the Public Administration Department by exchanging practical experience, giving consultation and making a discussion with them in public administration and public policy fields. He also gives presentations on public administration topics for Master students and PhD students.
Prof.Dr.Knorr has been very active in programme and institutional accreditations since 2003 on behalf of several German (FIBAA, ZEvA, AQAS, AQUIN) and international accreditation agencies (ASHE/Croatia, Akkork/Russia, SKVC/Lithuania). So far, he is a peer reviewer in more than 100 programme accreditations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Lithuania, Russia, the Ukraine, Vietnam, India, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. He also involved as an expert in several EU-sponsored capacity-building projects on external education quality assurance in higher education in India, East Africa, the ASEAN countries, Georgia, Armenia and Egypt.
During his visit, Prof.Dr.Knorr will also give a lecture to the Ph.D Candidates of the Public Administration Department with the topic of “Problems and current issues in the public administration”. We hope that our students will learn a lot from Prof. Dr. Knorr’s lecture and Colleagues of Public Administration Department, NUM will share professional and pedagogical experience in the field.
